"I think it's fair to say that during the years of my marriage I became the single most boring person in the entire world, and I totally loved it." - Hothouse Flower by Krista & Becca Ritchie

I happened upon this sentence while reading Hothouse Flower, a book I've bought over a year ago and left in the shelves waiting for an opportunity to read it. For this you should know that I'm married since almost three years and have a son who is about 18 months old. You see, with a baby at home, it's difficult to find enough time to get lost in a book without being disturbed. It used to be my favorite pass time before but lately I wasn't able to focus on anything that required more than 10 minutes of my unshared attention.

When I read the book this particular part really stood out to me.
Did I become boring in the past three years?
Of course my answer is no.
I'm still the same kind, fun and interesting person I was before the marriage.

But still.. some part of me felt empathy with the character in the book.
Maybe it's because of my friends who are currently traveling, doing crazy and daring stuff.
The pictures they post, the things they experienced and talk about.
It sounds like every day is a different adventure.
But when they ask me what I've been up to...
"Umm.. grocery shopping, playing with my son, cooking, you know... just regular life."
And it makes me feel incredibly boring.

Yet I love my life. I love my litte family and my boring day to day life.
Just like finding an hour to read a book, it's difficult to find time for exotic hobbies or exciting experiences. That's just the way it is.

Sometimes I miss it.. doing the things I want to do, going out at any time I want to, meeting friends without having to pack an extra bag of snacks and water and tissues. But this is my life now and I wouldn't exchange it for anything else, that's for sure!

ITS OKAY, ITS LOVE!

So I've been on a really long hiatus from writing on my blog and I'd like to apologize for that.
I've had a lot going on in real life and I wasn't in the right mood to write anything inspiring.
But now I'm back with new motivation and planning on growing the blog a little more!

In the past week I've been catching up with this really great new k-drama called
Though I have to admit that both the lead actor and actress did not count to my favorites, this drama made my interest in them grow a lot.
But more than anything, I am really hooked on the background music!
I might be wrong so don't quote me on this but I can't remember many other dramas with international background music? It gives the drama a whole different vibe and its amazing!
It's so light and upbeat and makes me want to go on a fun roadtrip whenever I hear it!

Here is a quick list of my six favorite songs:

Give the drama a try if you haven't already. I won't give a long synopsis on here because you can find that pretty much anywhere but just know that its (like the title obviously gives away) a love story and a real funny one too. The story has a fresh feel to it, at least thats how I felt watching it, and I can't stop recommending it to anyone who is remotely interested in kdramas!

A Thought On Goals

A few days ago I've stumbled upon this quote by Tom Bodett:

"They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do and something to hope for."

And it kept on haunting me until now. I have someone to love, thats for sure. Something to do? Well, I'm blogging right now, thats one thing amongst many others which I do. But what am I hoping for? What is my goal?

Having a goal, no matter how big, adds a lot of quality to life. It could be any kind of goal. Acquiring a new skill, a trip around the world, saving money for something you want, filling all the pages of your photo album, and so on.

Thoughts Of Today...

I got this wig to wear on a convention in July. I love the color and I actually want my natural hair to look like that but its difficult to find a good hairdresser for this.

Its perfect for my lazy fashion:

1. no make up face hidden by a cool cap
2. comfortable dress and cape

No effort fashion! And the wig sets a perfect highlight since most of my comfi clothes are plain white and black.

I wish I could wear this all day long and I probably will.. when the summer is over.

These days the temperatures have been over 30 degrees and wearing a wig or even black clothes is a real pain.

Hope it will cool down soon, at least a little! *fingerscrossed*

2014 Favorites: Outwear

Sure, sure, we probably won't need a lot of jackets or coats in summer. As I write this, the temperatures outside have already hit the limit of what I can bear and I am dreading the heat during my upcoming vacation in Italy. But in between these days of generous sunlight, there are also a few rain breaks. And just in case that may happen, you will need some kind of fashionable outwear in your warderobe. If all else fails, keeping it for autumn would be an option too.

Here are my two favorite jacket styles for 2014:

Facial Mist Magic! Spa In A Bottle.

After watching a recent episode of the new korean tv show Roommate in which Park Bom praises her miracle facial mist (Hwang Whoo Yeon Mist, apparently it sold out, she really did a great job advertising it), I became curious and decided to try one for myself. I'm a bit doubtful that a spray could actually make your face smaller but I do believe that its a very helpful skin care booster and I like the idea of refreshing your face during hot days or long trips.
